AccessArt has just released some fantastic new distance learning courses aimed at all ages, all abilities.

Their online courses are a great way to develop your practice, whether you are a teacher or facilitator looking for new ideas to pass on to your pupils/students, or you are an artist looking to refuel your work.

Format

The courses are very accessible. Assignments are delivered via a combination of video (subtitled), text and image and can be accessed at a time to suit you.

You also have the opportunity to upload images of your work to tutorial groups, where AccessArt artists and your peers can give you constructive feedback.

Previous participants have found the courses enabling and inspiring, enjoying both the modules/ assignments AND the feeling of being part of a larger community. Cost

AccessArt want to encourage a wide audience to develop their visual arts skills, and they have deliberately kept the prices low. The online courses cost between £10 and £25, with offer discounts for Full AccessArt members.

Timing

Each course lasts between two days and four weeks – the time scales are short so you can buy into a course, at a time to suit you, without it being a major commitment. Whilst modules or assignments are delivered over specified days, the content remains online for a period of time after the modules are released enabling you to catch up if you need to. You can also download a pdf version of each assignment for use at a future date.
