Kirklees Library and Information Centres are asking their young members to get involved in designing a new range of children’s library membership cards. They are looking for bright, bold and clear designs which can be used on cards measuring 55mm x 85mm. Designs can be drawn, painted or sketched onto plain white paper and the winning entries will be transformed into the right size and shape for the finished library cards.
There are three age categories: Five years and under, six to 11 years and 12 to 16 years. The final winning 3 designs will all be featured on the new children’s membership cards and each winner will be presented with a prize.
The closing date for the competition is 18 August and all entries must be handed in at your local Kirklees Library or Mobile Library.
