Small Charity Week – Free advice day -17th June

Small charities across the UK will be given free expert advice from third sector and business leaders on the topics they need help with the most. With 160 hours of free advice provided in 2013 they are hoping to help even more small charities in 2014.

For Small  Charities:

During the day experts will be donating their time to offer one-to-one free advice clinics in any charity related topics.

Bookings for Big Advice Day are now closed, however they have a limited number of places still available in the following areas:

  •  All aspects of HR for small charities: recruitment, selection, learning & development, performance management, employment disputes.
  • IT: IT Management, Drupal websites, game development, mobile development.
  • Events fundraising: arranging events through overseas challenges
  • Pensions auto-enrolment
  • Legal: contracts, legacies, disputes, public and regulatory law, freedom of information, data protection, procurement, state aid.

Advice can be Skype or face to face in the Central London advice hub.  If attending a face-to-face advice clinic they will maximise the learning you can access on your visit by running workshops on topics which include:

-       Trusts and Foundations
-       Learning and Development in the charity sector– continued professional               development to better meet the needs of your beneficiaries.

Big Advice Day – Manchester

The Institute of Fundraising North West in conjunction with IFC are delighted to be able to host a Fundraising Clinic to support Big ADvice Day of Small Charity Week. On Tuesday 17th June charities from in and around Manchester are welcome to come along on the day between 2-4.30pm and bring your questions, dilemma, ideas and fundraising frustrations. Or just come to listen and chat.

The North West IoF group will have a number of fundraising specialists on the day, details of which can be found on the website – these will be updated from time to time once specialists have confirmed.
