Whirlwind Theatre is looking for a Youth Theatre leader/ actor/ teacher. They are needed for Saturday Mornings in Lancaster (NW) to cover whilst regular actor is working.
This post is to cover some sessions in September, October and November. They must have experience teaching groups of mixed ability and age range i.e. 5 years – 18 years and an understanding of working with those with autism and dyslexia etc. (This requires a flexible approach). They should also have experience of traditional pantomime, routines and slapstick as working towards a devised version of Mother Goose. There is a possibility of further work and sessions.
3 hours Saturday morning 10 am – 1pm at The Gregson Community Centre, Lancaster. Paid – £25 for the session.

Whirlwind Theatre will also be looking for an actor to play the Dame in the production due to be performed in Spring 2013. Performance rates of pay match equity minimum for this. The post of youth theatre leader (cover) could possibly try for the part of The Dame.
Also an actor/teacher is needed to run a full day Panto workshop in October – rates of pay for this to be negotiated.
