Refugee Week is a UK-wide programme of arts, cultural and educational events and activities that celebrates the contribution of refugees to the UK and promotes better understanding of why people seek sanctuary. Anyone can take part by organising, attending or taking part in activities.
Hundreds of events and activities are organised by hundreds of agencies, groups, schools, museums, cinemas and galleries across the UK. From a Bring a Friend feast in Glasgow, a Georgian singing workshop in Wakefield, a portrait exhibition and film of older Refugees in East Anglia to Refugees Got Talent in the East Midlands, there is a wealth of activity happening across the UK for all.
